Dr. Renee Desing

Dr. Renee Desing is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Engineering Education at The Ohio State University after earning her PhD from the department in 2020. She also serves as the Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering. Renee’s research interests focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in engineering, particularly women engineers in the workplace. In the classroom, she is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments. Previously, she worked as a strategy and analytics consultant in Washington, D.C. Renee received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Pennsylvania State University, respectively. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, running, snowboarding, and volunteering in the community.
