Deepthi Suresh
Deepthi Suresh graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2019 with a B.S. in Bioengineering. There, she joined Jensen Lab the summer of 2018 and has continued in the lab for her M.S. and Ph.D in Bioengineering. She began by working on laboratory automation, integrating robotic systems into the lab's workflow as well as studying different gel biomaterials that would allow for bacteria suspension with the use of pipetting robots. She has now transitioned into the field of Engineering Education in relation to Bioengineering. She is researching the career outcome expectations of students in the field of AI and studying the potential of careers in quality and production engineering for undergraduates in bioengineering disciplines. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing ping pong, and spending time with her cats, Percy and Apollo.
