Dr. Karin Jensen

Karin Jensen, Ph.D. (she/her) is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan in Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Education Research. Her research interests include student mental health and wellness, engineering student career pathways, and engagement of engineering faculty in engineering education research. She is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering (JWM). She is also active with the ASEE Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Before joining UIUC she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Sanofi Oncology in Cambridge, MA. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia. She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in exercise classes.
