Victoria Sellers, Ph.D. (she/her) is a recent graduate of the Engineering and Science Education PhD program at Clemson University. Her dissertation research centered around designing and assessing virtual reality geology field experiences to increase student interest in geoscience. Victoria has worked as a research associate with Julie, performing editorial tasks for the Journal of Women and Minorities in Science and Engineering and conducting narrative analysis using the community cultural wealth framework. Victoria is starting a postdoctoral fellowship in engineering education at the University of Florida soon and her future research aims include improving equity in engineering, exploring the relationship between STEM interest and privilege, and broadening participation in geoscience with students from rural communities.

In her free time, Victoria loves reading science non-fiction and prefers to practice “natural” distancing by checking out local geology with her malamutt, Maple Bacon.
